Experienced Guide

Lorraine is the owner and tour guide for your 2-hour walking tour. She grew up in Charleston where her family has a long history going back several hundred years. After graduating from college with an Art History degree she followed in her moms' footsteps and became a tour guide in 1984 and was featured in Travel & Leisure Magazine

My love of gardens came later, and I now am also a certified landscape and nursery professional. I'm looking forward to showing you my city and how the people and plants came to be here.

Going back to her roots during the pandemic, she worked as a garden professional for the largest garden center in the Charleston area. There she obtained both the Nursery and the Landscape professional certifications.

Coming full circle, Lorraine decided to combine her love of history and plants (they have an interesting history as well) and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with you!
